O Diploma Dual é o programa oficial de equivalência internacional ao High School dos Estados Unidos da América. Deste modo, o aluno obtém dois certificados em simultâneo: o do ensino secundário português, de forma presencial, e o do ensino secundário norte-americano, de forma 100% online.
O nosso Colégio aderiu a este programa no ano letivo de 2021/2022 e conta, atualmente, com dezoito alunos inscritos. A primeira alumni do Colégio terminou o programa no ano letivo transato e encontra-se a estudar numa universidade na Holanda.
O primeiro semestre deste ano letivo teve início no dia dezoito de setembro. Para os alunos returning, isto significou a participação na Welcome Meeting. Por outro lado, para os alunos que se inscreveram este ano, a entrada no programa começou com um teste de admissão para se aferir os seus conhecimentos na língua inglesa.
O Diploma Dual tem várias modalidades de frequência, que podem iniciar-se entre o oitavo e o décimo primeiro ano. Porém, quanto mais cedo te inscreveres, menor será a carga anual de disciplinas a realizar.
Para obteres o Diploma Dual, além das equivalências que terás às disciplinas do currículo português, deverás completar seis disciplinas do currículo norte-americano, quatro de carácter obrigatório e duas de carácter opcional. Estas abrangem temas diversos, tais como Inglês, História Norte-Americana, Engenharia e Tecnologia, Criminologia e Psicologia, entre outras.
O Diploma Dual tem três grandes objetivos: a imersão linguística, a imersão tecnológica e a imersão pessoal.

Dual Diploma – We are back!
The Dual Diploma is the official international equivalency program of the North American high school. The student obtains two certificates simultaneously: that of Portuguese secondary education, in person, and that of North American secondary education, 100% online.
Our school joined this program in the 2021/2022 academic year and has currently eighteen students enrolled. The school’s first alumni finished the program last academic year and is currently studying at a university in the Netherlands.
The first semester of this academic year began on September 18th. For returning students, this meant participating in the Welcome Meeting. For students who enrolled this year, entry into the program began with an admission test to assess their knowledge of the English language.
The Dual Diploma has several types of attendance, which can start between the eighth and eleventh year. However, the sooner you register, the lower the annual load of subjects you will need to complete.
To obtain the Dual Diploma, in addition to the equivalences you will have to the subjects in the Portuguese curriculum, you must complete six subjects in the North American curriculum (four mandatory and two optional). These cover diverse topics, such as English, North American History, Engineering and Technology, Criminology and Psychology, among others.
The Dual Diploma has three main objectives: linguistic immersion, technological immersion, and personal immersion.
