I have a dream. Well, don’t we all?
What is it that makes my dream more important than everyone else’s? To be honest, I can’t really think of any good reason.
By now you must be wondering: what is your dream? What are your ambitions, what moves you forward in life? What exactly is this “dream” you speak so highly about? This “thing” you claim, you would sacrifice each and every one of your goals and purposes, to achieve?
Sorry to disappoint you, but the truth is … I don’t know! I guess we are all supposed to be influenced by this set of dreams; to have this urge to make them come true. We are pressured by society to know precisely what we want and where we are headed to at all times – we are led to believe life is meaningless without doing so. Well, I beg to differ!
Those of you who think you know what you need … congratulations! That’s good for you, no judging. But everyone else desperately searching for that missing piece in the puzzle: it’s okay to be confused. Of course, we have to make choices, but if we are constantly obsessed about these decisions, we aren’t actually enjoying life! And I don’t mean that petty life we are told to chase, full of stress and needless competition. We all need to stop for a moment, take a deep breath and learn to relax! Guess what: my dreams don’t make sense! They are as random as random gets; there are flying cows and cotton candy and … look! Some Science teacher I haven’t seen since first grade! Frankly, in the morning, I barely remember what I dreamt about!
Trust me, you will figure it out eventually. Meanwhile, let yourself dream freely without overthinking and searching for the meaning of everything.
I have a dream. I have several dreams. I have a life. So do you, so live it! Dream on, and don’t forget to breathe …
